Holotype: UFRGS 16239. Paratypes: CIUFSC, MCN, MCP, MPEG, MZUSP, UFRGS. •Valid as Trichomycterus poikilos Ferrer & Malabara 2013 -- (Bertaco et al. 2016:421 [ref. 34561], Nascimento et al. 2017:511 [ref. 35440]). •Valid as Cambeva poikilos (Ferrer & Malabarba 2013) -- (Katz et al. 2018:563 [ref. 36330], Costa et al. 2020:720 [ref. 37907], Ferrer 2021:233 [ref. 38890], Costa et al. 2022:153 [ref. 39052]). Current status: Valid as Cambeva poikilos (Ferrer & Malabarba 2013). Trichomycteridae: Trichomycterinae. Distribution: South America: Rio Jacuí basin and tributaries of the Rio Taquari-Antas, Laguna dos Patos system (Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil). Habitat: freshwater.
