Holotype: SAIAB 187243. Paratypes: BMNH 2012.9.17 (1); SAIAB 122627 (1?), 187238 (1?), 187244 (1?) 187241 (1?); USNM 408375 (1?). A total of 23 specimens were examined. •Valid as Pseudobarbus skeltoni Chakona & Swartz 2013 -- (Chakona et al. 2014:135 [ref. 33568], Hayes & Armbruster 2017:356 [ref. 35417], Skelton et al. 2018:16 [ref. 35835]). Current status: Valid as Pseudobarbus skeltoni Chakona & Swartz 2013. Cyprinidae: Smiliogastrinae. Distribution: Breede River system, South Africa. Habitat: freshwater.
