Current status: Valid as Stiphodon maculidorsalis Maeda & Tan 2013. Gobiidae: Sicydiinae. Distribution: West Sumatra (West Sumatra) and Aceh Province (Sumatra) [supposedly amphidromous]. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
