Paratypes: CMA 15 (2), MSUMNH 57 (6), ZSI/SRS F8575 (1). •Valid as Aborichthys cataracta Arunachalam, Raja, Punniyam & Mayden 2014 -- (Raghavan et al. 2014:741 [ref. 34574], Bleher 2018:120 [ref. 36647], Kosygin et al. 2019:75 [ref. 36729], Shangningam et al. 2019:370 [ref. 37201], Singh & Kosygin 2022:[7] [ref. 39743]). Current status: Valid as Aborichthys cataracta Arunachalam, Raja, Punniyam & Mayden 2014. Nemacheilidae. Distribution: South Asia: Ranga River drainage, upper Brahmaputra basin, Arunachal Pradesh, India. Habitat: freshwater.
