Paratypes: all from Taiwan. ANSP, BPBM, CAS, NMMB, USNM. •Valid as Eviota aquila Greenfield & Jewett 2014 -- (Greenfield & Winterbottom 2016:48 [ref. 35011], Greenfield 2017:34 [ref. 35705], Parenti 2021:138 [ref. 38603]). Current status: Valid as Eviota aquila Greenfield & Jewett 2014. Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: southern Taiwan endemic. Habitat: marine.
