Holotype: MZUSP 114030. Paratypes: INPA, MCP, MZUSP. •Valid as Hyphessobrycon diastatos Dagosta, Marinho & Camelier 2014 -- (Pastana & Ohara 2016:396 [ref. 34716], Silva et al. 2020:6 [ref. 37809]). •Valid as Hasemania diastatos (Dagosta, Marinho & Camelier 2014) -- (Melo et al. 2024:14 [ref. 41541]). Current status: Valid as Hasemania diastatos (Dagosta, Marinho & Camelier 2014). Acestrorhamphidae: Stichonodontinae. Distribution: South America: Rio São Francisco basin to Tocantins basin (Brazil). Habitat: freshwater.
