Paratypes: APFS/ZSI/P-503 (11). •Valid as Barilius arunachalensis Nath, Dam & Kumar 2010 -- (Bleher 2018:342 [ref. 36647]). •Valid as Opsarius arunachalensis (Nath, Dam & Kumar 2010) -- (Qin et al. 2019:590 [ref. 36784], Moyon & Arunkumar 2019:5 [ref. 37054], Kumari et al. 2019:14813 [ref. 37140], Kumari et al. 2024:8 [ref. 40818]). Current status: Valid as Opsarius arunachalensis (Nath, Dam & Kumar 2010). Danionidae: Chedrinae. Distribution: South Asia: upper Brahmaputra basin, Arunachal Pradesh, India and Bhutan. Habitat: freshwater.
