H.] & Oliveira [C.] 2014:117, Figs. 1-2 [ZooKeys No. 440; ref. 33492] Minas Gerais State, municipality of Ouro Preto, córrego Bananeiras, affluent of rio Gualaxo do Norte, rio Doce basin, 20°14'20"S, 43°28'40"W, Brazil. Holotype: MZUSP 115486. Paratypes: (all from Rio Doce basin) LBP, MCNIP, MZUSP, NUP. Plus non-type specimens. Type catalog: Oliveira et al. 2022:14 [ref. 39255]. •Valid as Neoplecostomus doceensis Roxo, Silva, Zawadzki & Oliveira 2014 -- (Pereira & Reis 2017:74 [ref. 35307], Roxo et al. 2017:238 [ref. 35467], Silva et al. 2019:100 [ref. 36454]). Current status: Valid as Neoplecostomus doceensis Roxo, Silva, Zawadzki & Oliveira 2014. Loricariidae: Hypoptopomatinae. Distribution: South America: Rio Doce basin (Brazil). Habitat: freshwater.
