Holotype (unique): WAM P.34319-001. •Valid as Cryptocentrus epakros Allen 2015 -- (Parenti 2021:126 [ref. 38603], Allen & Erdmann 2024:961 [ref. 40796]). Current status: Valid as Cryptocentrus epakros Allen 2015. Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Alotau, Milne Bay (Papua New Guinea) endemic. Habitat: marine.
