Current status: Valid as Chrysobrycon guahibo Vanegas-Ríos, Urbano-Bonilla & Azpelicueta 2015. Characidae: Stevardiinae. Distribution: South America: Orinoco River basin (Colombia): Loreto (Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
