Also described in Richardson 1844:178, Pl. 11 (fig. 2) [ref. 20295]. •Valid as Narcine tasmaniensis Richardson 1841 -- (Paxton et al. 1989:61 [ref. 12442], Kuiter 1993:15 [ref. 23929], Gomon et al. 1994:155 [ref. 22532], Last & Stevens 1994:378 [ref. 23873], Compagno 1999:487 [ref. 25589], Carvalho 2001:571 [ref. 25603], Carvalho & Séret 2002:405 [ref. 25996], Paxton et al. 2006:168 [ref. 28995], Carvalho 2008:258 [ref. 29690], Gomon 2008:102 [ref. 30616], Weigmann 2016:75 [ref. 34211]). •Valid as Narcinops tasmaniensis (Richardson 1841) -- (Carvalho & Last 2016:168 [ref. 34996]). Current status: Valid as Narcinops tasmaniensis (Richardson 1841). Narcinidae. Distribution: Australia. Habitat: marine.
