Holotype: MSNG 58337. Paratypes: MSNG 58338 (6). More complete locality in Eberl 2016 [ref. 34509]. •Valid as Aphyosemion bitteri Valdesalici & Eberl 2016 -- (Fermon et al. 2022:253 [ref. 39448]). Current status: Valid as Aphyosemion bitteri Valdesalici & Eberl 2016. Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Western-central Africa: Ikoy River system (Gabon) endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
