pulcher, Serranus Wirtz [P.] & Iwamoto [T.] 2016:192, Figs. 1-9 [Proceedings of the California Academy of Sciences v. 63 (no. 6); ref. 34418] São Tomé Island (00°25.099'N, 006°41.718'E) near wreck "Mar Vassa" on coral rubble, depth about 6 meters. Holotype: ZSM 43868. Paratypes: CAS, CIUFES, ZSM. •Valid as Serranus pulcher Wirtz & Iwamoto 2016 -- (Iwamoto & Wirtz 2018:22 [ref. 36189], Reiner 2019:178 [ref. 38139], Parenti & Randall 2020:126 [ref. 37354], Fermon et al. 2022:286 [ref. 39448]). Current status: Valid as Serranus pulcher Wirtz & Iwamoto 2016. Serranidae. Distribution: Eastern Atlantic: Gabon, and São Tomé and Principe. Habitat: marine.
