Holotype: CUMV 95314. Paratypes: AMNH, CUMV, MRAC. •Valid as Petrocephalus leo Lavoué 2016. Current status: Valid as Petrocephalus leo Lavoué 2016. Mormyridae. Distribution: Kotto River, Oubangui River basin, Central African Republic. Habitat: freshwater.
