Holotype: MZUSP 118673. Paratypes: AUM, LBP, MZUSP. •Valid as Microplecostomus forestii Silva, Roxo, Ochoa & Oliveira 2016 -- (Pereira & Reis 2017:82 [ref. 35307] no subfamily). Current status: Valid as Microplecostomus forestii Silva, Roxo, Ochoa & Oliveira 2016. Loricariidae. Distribution: Tocantizinho River, Tocantins basin, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
