Current status: Valid as Caecieleotris morrisi Walsh & Chakrabarty 2016. Eleotridae: Eleotrinae. Distribution: Southern North America: subterranean waters of Oaxaca, Atlantic slope (Mexico) endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
