Holotype: CMFRI GB.31.135.12.7. Paratypes: CMFRI. The second and third authors are Sandhya & Arun in text. •Valid as Scomber indicus Abdussamad, Sukumaran & Ratheesh 2016. •Synonym of Scomber australasicus Cuvier 1832, but a valid subspecies -- (Collette & Graves 2019:121 [ref. 37341]). Current status: Synonym of Scomber australasicus Cuvier 1832. Scombridae: Scombrinae. Distribution: Kochi, India [as subspecies]. Habitat: marine.
