lyonsi, Xenotoca Domínguez-Domínguez [O.], Bernal-Zuñiga [D. M.] & Piller [K. R.] 2016:92, Fig. 5b [Zootaxa 4189 (no. 1); ref. 34884] Tamazula River, Coahuayana drainage, just 5 km northwest of the town of Tamazula, Jalisco, Mexico, 21°13'56.5"N, 104°53'58.7"W, elevation more than 1000 meters. Holotype: CPUM 9590. Paratypes: CNPE-IBUNAM, CPUM, MNCN. •Valid as Xenoophorus lyonsi (Domínguez-Domínguez, Bernal-Zuñiga & Piller 2016) -- (Huber 2019:35 [ref. 36941]). •Valid as Xenotoca lyonsi Domínguez-Domínguez, Bernal-Zuñiga & Piller 2016 -- (Lyons et al. 2019:145 [ref. 37104]). Current status: Valid as Xenotoca lyonsi Domínguez-Domínguez, Bernal-Zuñiga & Piller 2016. Goodeidae: Goodeinae. Distribution: North America: Coahuayana River drainage (Pacific slope of central Mexico). Habitat: freshwater.
