J.] 2016:312, Figs. 1-4 [Ichthyological Exploration of Freshwaters v. 27 (no. 4) for Dec.; ref. 34914] Mundame, along river Mungo, near Kumba, dug up from sandy soil in farmland with banana and cocoyam crops and tree ferns and palm trees, Cameroon, 4°33'N, 9°31'E, elevation 35-170 meters. Holotype: BMNH 2016.7.6.1. Paratypes: BMNH 2016.7.6.2 (1, cleared and stained), 2016.7.6.3 (1), 2016.7.6.4-5 (2), 2016.7.6.6 (1); ZMUC. •Valid as Monopterus luticolus Britz, Doherty-Bone, Kouete, Sykes & Gower 2016 -- (Britz et al. 2018:325 [ref. 36207]). •Valid as Typhlosynbranchus luticolus (Britz, Doherty-Bone, Kouete, Sykes & Gower 2016) -- (Britz et al. 2020:234 [ref. 38035]). Current status: Valid as Typhlosynbranchus luticolus (Britz, Doherty-Bone, Kouete, Sykes & Gower 2016). Synbranchidae. Distribution: Mount Cameroon, Cameroon. Habitat: freshwater.
