Paratypes: CMA, MSUMNH. •Valid as Neolissochilus acutirostris Arunachalam, Sivakumar & Murugan 2017 -- (Lalramliana et al. 2018:[3] [ref. 35912], Umamaheswari & Arunachalam 2018:2 [ref. 36417]). Current status: Valid as Neolissochilus acutirostris Arunachalam, Sivakumar & Murugan 2017. Cyprinidae: Torinae. Distribution: Cauvery River drainage, Karnataka, India. Habitat: freshwater.
