Type catalog: Ferraris et al. 2017:[24] [ref. 35236]. •Valid as Brachyhypopomus sullivani Crampton, de Santana, Waddell & Lovejoy 2017 -- (Ferraris et al. 2017:[24] [ref. 35236], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:66 [ref. 35633], Ochoa et al. 2020:64 [ref. 37781], Dutra et al. 2021:12 [ref. 38178], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:21 [ref. 39298], Torgersen et al. 2023:779 [ref. 40692]). Current status: Valid as Brachyhypopomus sullivani Crampton, de Santana, Waddell & Lovejoy 2017. Hypopomidae. Distribution: South America: Amazon, Orinoco and Essequibo basins (Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru and Venezuela). Habitat: freshwater.
