Paratypes: LBP, LIRP, MZUSP. •Valid as Cyphocharax boiadeiro Melo 2017 -- (Bortolo et al. 2018:349 [ref. 36016], Melo et al. 2022:335 [ref. 39301], Melo & Faria 2024:8 [ref. 41003]). Current status: Valid as Cyphocharax boiadeiro Melo 2017. Curimatidae. Distribution: South America: upper Araguaia River drainage, Amazon River basin, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
