Current status: Valid as Macrhybopsis boschungi Gilbert & Mayden 2017. Leuciscidae: Pogonichthyinae. Distribution: Eastern North America: lower Mobile basin, Alabama and northeastern Mississippi (U.S.A.). Habitat: freshwater.
