Paratypes: ANSP, INHS, KU, MCZ, TU, UAIC, UF, UMMZ, USNM, UT. •Valid as Macrhybopsis tomellerii Gilbert & Mayden 2017 -- (Echelle et al. 2018:547 [ref. 35765], Page et al. 2023:72 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Macrhybopsis tomellerii Gilbert & Mayden 2017. Leuciscidae: Pogonichthyinae. Distribution: Eastern North America: Pearl and Pascagoula river drainages of Mississippi and southeastern Louisiana (U.S.A.). Habitat: freshwater.
