Holotype: UMMZ 250293. Paratypes: UANL, UMMZ •Valid as Astyanax rioverde Lozano-Vilano & Schmitter-Soto 2017 -- (Page et al. 2023:77 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Astyanax rioverde Lozano-Vilano & Schmitter-Soto 2017. Acestrorhamphidae: Acestrorhamphinae. Distribution: Southern North America: Río Pánuco drainage, Atlantic versant, San Luis Potosí (Mexico). Habitat: freshwater.
