Paratypes: WAM. Plus additional non-type specimens. •Valid as Grallenia lauensis Allen & Erdmann 2017 -- (Allen & Hammer 2018:95 [ref. 36325], Parenti 2021:182 [ref. 38603], Allen et al. 2024:1351 [ref. 40796]). Current status: Valid as Grallenia lauensis Allen & Erdmann 2017. Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Southwestern Pacific: Great Barrier Reef, Queensland (Australia), northwestern Coral Sea (Australia), and Lau Islands (Fiji). Habitat: marine.
