Paratypes: DZSJRP, MZUEL, NUP. Type catalog: Oliveira et al. 2022:8 [ref. 39255]. •Valid as Bryconamericus coeruleus Jerep & Shibatta 2017 -- (Reis et al. 2020:460 [ref. 38364], Román-Valencia et al. 2023:40 [ref. 40431] with question, Koerber 2024:4 [ref. 41228], Pedroso et al. 2024:15 [ref. 40856]). Current status: Valid as Bryconamericus coeruleus Jerep & Shibatta 2017. Stevardiidae: Diapominae. Distribution: South America: upper rio Paraná basin (Brazil and Paraguay). Habitat: freshwater.
