M.] 2017:334, Figs. 1-2 [Zoosystematics and Evolution v. 93 (no. 2); ref. 35623] Temporary pool close to road BR-122, about 8 km S of the village of Pindaí, Mata Veado Creek floodplains, Verde Grande River drainage, São Francisco River basin, Pindaí municipality, Bahia State, Brazil, 14°33'39"S, 42°42'10"W, elevation about 630 meters. Holotype: UFRJ 9431. Paratypes: UFRJ. •Valid as Cynolebias elegans Costa 2017 -- (Silva et al. 2020:13 [ref. 37809]). Current status: Valid as Cynolebias elegans Costa 2017. Rivulidae: Cynolebiinae. Distribution: South America: Rio Verde Grande drainage, São Francisco River basin (Bahia State, Brazil). Habitat: freshwater.
