Paratypes: HRA 2017020601 (1), 20170206002 (1), 20170206004 (1), 20170206005 (1). •Valid as Triplophysa baotianensis Li, Li, Liu & Li 2018 -- (Chen et al. 2021:188 [ref. 38191], Liu et al. 2022:11 [ref. 39962], Luo et al. 2023:45 [ref. 40607], Lan et al. 2024:259 [ref. 41619], Zhu et al. 2025:1390 [ref. 42306]). Current status: Valid as Triplophysa baotianensis Li, Li, Liu & Li 2018. Nemacheilidae. Distribution: East Asia: cave in Baotian Town, Nanpanjiang River drainage, Pearl River basin, Guizhou (China). IUCN (2024): Not Assessed. Habitat: freshwater.
