Paratypes: ANSP, CAS, FMNH, INPA, MCP, MPEG, MZUSP, UF, UFOPA, ZUEC. •Valid as Bryconops chernoffi Silva-Oliveira, Lima & Bogotá-Gregory 2018 -- (Silva-Oliveira et al. 2019:19 [ref. 36769], Silva-Oliveira et al. 2019:382 [ref. 36876], Silva-Oliveira & Lima 2024:372 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Valid as Bryconops chernoffi Silva-Oliveira, Lima & Bogotá-Gregory 2018. Iguanodectidae. Distribution: South America: Rio Maicuru drainage, lower Amazon basin, Pará State, Brazil Habitat: freshwater.
