Current status: Valid as Garra motuoensis Gong, Freyhof, Wang, Liu, Liu, Lin, Jiang & Liu 2018. Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Distribution: South Asia: Yarlung Tsangpo River drainage, upper Brahmaputra River basin, southeastern Tibet, China. Habitat: freshwater.
