andamanicus, Cheilopogon formosus Shakhovskoy [I. B.] & Parin [N. V.] 2019:26, Figs. 9-10 [Zootaxa 4589 (no. 1); ref. 36674] R/V "Vityaz", Cruise 35, Sta. 5302, Sample 461, 3°27'N, 100°12'E. Holotype: ZMMU P-24079. Paratypes: URM, ZMUC. •Synonym of Cheilopogon formosus (Kotthaus 1969) but a valid subspecies as described. Current status: Synonym of Cheilopogon formosus (Kotthaus 1969). Exocoetidae. Distribution: Southern part of the Andaman Sea: from Phuket to Singapore [this subspecies]. Habitat: marine.
