Holotype: HUJ 18623. Paratypes: MNHN 1977-0938 (3). Plus additional non-type material. •Valid as Lestrolepis luxiocula Ho & Golani 2019 -- (Golani & Fricke 2026:38 [ref. 42831]). Current status: Valid as Lestrolepis luxiocula Ho & Golani 2019. Paralepididae. Distribution: Red Sea endemic. IUCN (2020): Data Deficient. Habitat: marine.
