Holotype: MRAC P-153493. Paratypes: AMNH, BMNH, MRAC, ZSM. Plus additional non-type material. •Valid as Distichodus polli Abwe, Snoeks, Manda & Vreven 2019 -- (Munene et al. 2021:22 [ref. 39283], Musschoot 2024:338 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Valid as Distichodus polli Abwe, Snoeks, Manda & Vreven 2019. Distichodontidae. Distribution: Central Africa: southern tributaries of middle and upper Congo basin (Democratic Republic of Congo). Habitat: freshwater.
