Holotype: MCP 53583. Paratypes: MCP, MNRJ, MZUSP, UNT. •Valid as Bryconops hexalepis Guedes, Oliveira & Lucinda 2019 -- (Silva-Oliveira & Lima 2024:373 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Valid as Bryconops hexalepis Guedes, Oliveira & Lucinda 2019. Iguanodectidae. Distribution: South America: middle and upper Tocantins River basin, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
