N.] 2019:225, Figs. 2C, 4-5 [Zootaxa 4702 (no. 1); ref. 37156] Off Tawitawi Island, the Philippines, Sulu Sea, 5°40.9'N, 119°46.3'E - 5°43.1'N, 119°47.0'E, depth 460 - 514 meters. Holotype: BSKU 15795. Paratypes: BMNH 1981.11.30.1 (1), BSKU, NMMB. Plus additional non-type material. •Valid as Stemonosudis retrodorsalis Ho, Russell, Graham & Psomadakis 2019 -- (Gloerfelt-Tarp & Kailola 2022:82 [ref. 41223], Ho & Yang 2025:102 [ref. 42174], Kimura et al. 2025:10 [ref. 42581]). Current status: Valid as Stemonosudis retrodorsalis Ho, Russell, Graham & Psomadakis 2019. Paralepididae. Distribution: Indo-west Pacific: eastern Java (Indonesia), east to Sulu Sea (Philippines), south to northern Western Australia. Habitat: marine.
