Current status: Valid as Trigonostigma truncata Tan 2020. Danionidae: Rasborinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: east coast of the Malay Peninsula: south of the Isthmus of Kra, Narathiwat Province (Thailand) to Terengganu (Malaysia). IUCN (2024): Not Assessed. Habitat: freshwater.
