Holotype: ZSI/MBRC F.1950. Paratypes: NMMBP 30954 (1), ZSI/MBRC F.1951 (1). Originally as Parpercis annamalai, a typographical error. •Valid as Parapercis annamalai Yosuva, Ho, Jeyapragash & Saravanakuamr 2020. Current status: Valid as Parapercis annamalai Yosuva, Ho, Jeyapragash & Saravanakuamr 2020. Pinguipedidae. Distribution: Bay of Bengal, south-eastern India, eastern Indian Ocean. Habitat: marine.
