Holotype: MCP 54165. Paratypes: LIRP, MCP, UFRGS. Plus additional non-type material. •Valid as Scleronema milonga Ferrer & Malabarba 2020 -- (Mirande & Koerber 2020:2 [ref. 37594], Ferrer 2021:245 [ref. 38890], Costa et al. 2022:91 [ref. 39059]). Current status: Valid as Scleronema milonga Ferrer & Malabarba 2020. Trichomycteridae: Trichomycterinae. Distribution: South America: Uruguay River basin (southern Brazil and Argentina). Habitat: freshwater.
