I.25548-001 (2); USNM 244194 (31 + 4 c&s), 257042 (1), 257046 (9), 261548 (7). •Valid as Aioliops novaeguineae Rennis & Hoese 1987 -- (Larson 2001:3608 [ref. 26296], Allen & Adrim 2003:61 [ref. 26830], Hoese 2006:1706 [ref. 28998], Allen & Erdmann 2012:993 [ref. 31980], Fricke et al. 2014:177 [ref. 33932], Fricke et al. 2019:293 [ref. 36673], Parenti 2021:398 [ref. 38603]). Current status: Valid as Aioliops novaeguineae Rennis & Hoese 1987. Gobiidae: Ptereleotrinae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Indonesia east to New Ireland (Papua New Guinea). Habitat: marine.
