Holotype: EBFS FSX001. Paratypes: NMMBP 33387 (4). •Valid as Somniosus cheni Hsu, Lin & Joung 2020. Current status: Valid as Somniosus cheni Hsu, Lin & Joung 2020. Somniosidae. Distribution: Eastern Taiwan, northwestern Pacific. Habitat: marine.
