Paratypes: SIO 60-241 (2), 86-42 (4 or 5), 86-43 (11 or 12), 87-15 (1), 87-29 (3), 87-37 (1), 87-39 (1), 87-41 (1), 87-45 (1); ZMUC P2340554-7 (4), P2340558 (1); plus tentatively referred specimens. •Valid as Monognathus rosenblatti Bertelsen & Nielsen 1987 -- (Bertelsen et al. 1989:654 [ref. 13293], Smith 1999:1697 [ref. 24661], Love et al. 2005:24 [ref. 37547], Mundy 2005:146 [ref. 28379], Page et al. 2023:58 [ref. 40505], Fricke et al. 2024:137 [ref. 41622]). Current status: Valid as Monognathus rosenblatti Bertelsen & Nielsen 1987. Monognathidae. Distribution: Central and eastern Pacific: Hawaiian Islands (U.S.A.) east to off southern California (U.S.A.) and Baja California (Mexico). IUCN (2020): Least Concern. Habitat: marine.
