Burgess. •Valid as Pimelodella rambarrani Axelrod & Burgess 1987 -- (Burgess 1989:281 [ref. 12860]). •Valid as Brachyrhamdia rambarrani (Axelrod & Burgess 1987) -- (Bockmann & Guazzelli in Reis et al. 2003:411 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:181 [ref. 29155], Slobodian & Bockmann 2013:21 [ref. 32905], Grant 2021:151 [ref. 38702]). Current status: Valid as Brachyrhamdia rambarrani (Axelrod & Burgess 1987). Heptapteridae: Rhamdiinae. Distribution: South America: Unini River basin in upper Negro River drainage (Brazil). Habitat: freshwater.
