Holotype: BMNH 1966.11.16.426. Paratypes: (17) BMNH, KAUM-I, MNHN, NSMT, SAIAB. •Valid as Dussumieria torpedo Hata, Lavoué & Motomura 2021 -- (Hata 2023:9 [ref. 40296]). Current status: Valid as Dussumieria torpedo Hata, Lavoué & Motomura 2021. Dussumieriidae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: coast of Tanzania to South Africa and Madagascar, probably also coast of Kenya, East Africa. Habitat: marine.
