Current status: Valid as Enteromius baleensis Prokofiev, Levin & Golubtsov 2021. Cyprinidae: Smiliogastrinae. Distribution: Northeastern Africa: Upper Juba River basin, Bale Mountain Region, southeastern Ethiopia. Habitat: freshwater.
