Current status: Valid as Dussumieria modakandai Singh, Teena Jayakumar, Kumar, Murali, Mishra, Singh & Lal 2021. Dussumieriidae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: east coast of India and South China Sea east to Philippines, north to southern east China Sea and Ryukyu Islands (Japan). Habitat: marine.
