Paratypes: MCP, UFRGS, ZVCP. •Valid as Diapoma pampeana Ito, Carvalho, Pavanelli, Vanegas-Ríos & Malabarba 2022 -- (Koerber et al. 2023:5 [ref. 40355], Loureiro et al. 2023:64 [ref. 40506], Vanegas-Ríos et al. 2024:75 [ref. 40834]). Current status: Valid as Diapoma pampeana Ito, Carvalho, Pavanelli, Vanegas-Ríos & Malabarba 2022. Characidae: Stevardiinae. Distribution: South America: Negro River drainage, Uruguay River basin (Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil; Uruguay). Habitat: freshwater.
