Holotype: USNM 280122 [ex TABL 67-124]. Paratypes: LACM 44201-1 (11 + 1 c&s); USNM 280123 (38). •Valid as Dinematichthys minyomma Sedor & Cohen 1987 -- (Chen & Shao 1991:15 [ref. 16679], Nielsen & Cohen in Nielsen et al. 1999:130 [ref. 24448], Nielsen in Randall & Lim 2000:596 [ref. 25122], Nielsen 2003:974 [ref. 27009], Møller et al. 2004:148 [ref. 27770], Garrido-Linares & Acero P. 2006:290, 296 [ref. 28946]). •Valid as Alionematichthys minyomma (Sedor & Cohen 1987) -- (Møller & Schwarzhans 2008:99 [ref. 29997], Smith-Vaniz & Jelks 2014:29 [ref. 33341], Møller et al. 2016:Appendix B [ref. 34432] in Dinematichthyidae). Current status: Valid as Alionematichthys minyomma (Sedor & Cohen 1987). Dinematichthyidae. Distribution: Western Atlantic. Habitat: marine.
