Holotype: FFR 3239. Paratypes: CMK, FFR. •Valid as Salmo ardahanensis Turan, Kottelat & Kaya 2022 -- (Çiçek et al. 2023:422 [ref. 40625], Turan et al. 2024:88 [ref. 40793], Çiçek et al. 2024:286 [ref. 40789], Küçük et al. 2024:401 [ref. 40993]). Current status: Valid as Salmo ardahanensis Turan, Kottelat & Kaya 2022. Salmonidae: Salmoninae. Distribution: Asia Minor: upper Kura River drainage, Ardahan Province, eastern Anatolia (Turkey). Habitat: freshwater.
