amblyrhynchos, Microdous Hu [J.-T.], Lan [C.] & Li [C.-H.] 2023:5, Figs. 2-5A, 6-7 [ZooKeys No. 1153; ref. 40052] Unnamed tributary of the Hongshui River, upper reaches of the Xijiang River, Pearl River basin, Lihong Village, Yuhong Town, Lingyun County, Baise City, Guangxi, China, 24°26.21'N, 106°26.72'E, elevation circa 870 meters. Holotype: SOU 1801010-7. Paratypes: SOU 1801010-8 (1), 1801010-1 (1), 1801010-2 (1) 1801010-3 (1). •Valid as Microdous amblyrhynchos Hu, Lan & Li 2023 -- (Endruweit 2024:91 [ref. 41040], Wang et al. 2024:378 [ref. 41299]). Current status: Valid as Microdous amblyrhynchos Hu, Lan & Li 2023. Odontobutidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: upper reaches of the Xijiang River, Pearl River basin, Guangxi (China). IUCN (2024): Not Assessed. Habitat: freshwater.
